"fast labor" em Londres

De 30 de maio até 21 de Junho
hampsteadtheatre apresenta a estreia Londrina de

fast labour
de Steve Waters

Over worked, over paid and over here...

Meet Victor - entrepreneur, family man, Led Zeplin fan and illegal migrant. Arriving in the UK from Ukraine, Victor is determined to seek out his fortune, but not by any conventional method. His goal is to play the British gangmasters at their own game.

Fast-paced, hard-hitting and comic new drama which lifts the lid on the shady world of migration.

It was in 2005, following a studio residency at the National Theatre, that Hampstead Theatre in association with West Yorkshire Playhouse, commissioned Steve Waters' play. Three years on, Fast Labour has just opened to fantastic critical acclaim in Leeds and it is with great excitement that we look forward to the Hampstead Theatre run.

'Steve Waters has created a fascinating play'
The Independent

'the production is slick and well acted, and the topic could hardly be hotter'
The Times

'Original and intriguing...highly informative'
The Guardian ****

'Fast Labour impresses as a play that takes its subject and its audience seriously'
What's On Stage

Steve's previous plays include English Journeys (1998) and After the Gods (2002) at Hampstead, and his most recent successes are World Music at the Donmar Warehouse and The Unthinkable at the Sheffield Crucible.

Well-known television actor Craig Kelly (Queer as Folk, Clocking off) plays Victor, alongside an outstanding ensemble of actors directed by Ian Brown.
