O UK Theatre anunciou os nomeados para os UK Theatre Awards 2017, com os musicais "Everybody's Talking About Jamie" e "Caroline, or Change" entre os espectáculos mais noemados.
Estes espectáculos, que foram tão bem recebidos pela critica, estão nomeados na categoria de Melhor Musical ao lado da produção de "Sweet Charity" do Royal Exchange Theatre, enquanto que os seus actores principais, John McCrea e Sharon D Clarke, respectivamente, estão nomeados na categoria de Melhor Performance num Musical ao lado de Kaisa Hammarlund (para "Sweet Charity") e Louis Maskell (para "The Grinning Man", do Old Vic de Bristol ).
Nomeados estão espectáculos tão diversos como "Wish List" do Royal Court, para o Melhor Nova Peça; "The Who's Tommy", o musical encenado por Kerry Michael, que teve uma carreira curta no Theatre Royal Stratford East, nomeado para Melhor Produção em Tournée; "Around The World in 80 Days" (uma produção do New Vic Theatre em parceria com Kenny Wax Family Entertainment e Simon Friend, em associação com o Royal Exchange Theatre) e "Fantastic Mr Fox" de Roald Dahl (uma produção de Nuffield Southampton Theatres e Curve, em associação com Lyric Hammersmith), ambos para o Melhor Espectáculo para Crianças e Jovens.
Os prémios serão apresentados no domingo 15 de Outubro numa cerimónia no Guildhall em Londres, com a actriz Emilia Clarke como apresentadora.
